Welcome to North Phoenix Guns, your trusted gun broker for all your firearm needs. As a gun broker, we facilitate the legal transfer of firearms between buyers and sellers, ensuring that all federal and Arizona state regulations are followed.
When purchasing a firearm online or when a purchase crosses state lines, the transfer must be completed through a licensed gun broker. This is where we come in. As licensed gun brokers, we conduct a background check on the buyer to ensure that they are legally eligible to purchase a firearm. This is a crucial step in preventing guns from falling into the wrong hands and helps keep our communities safe.
The Process Is Simple and Straight Forward
The background check process is simple and straightforward. The buyer completes our FFL application (available online to submit), which asks for personal information such as their name, address, and date of birth. We then submit the form to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), which searches various databases to determine if the buyer is eligible to purchase a firearm. This process usually takes only a few minutes, and if the buyer passes the background check, they are cleared to purchase the firearm.
Completing the Transfer & Receiving Your Firearm
Once the background check is complete, the seller ships the firearm to our licensed gun shop, where we take possession of it. As soon as North Phoenix Guns receives both the approval from the NICS and receives the gun, we will call you, letting you know your firearm is ready to be picked up.
The buyer then comes to our store to complete the transfer, and we perform a second background check on them to verify their identity, and complete and sign the 4473 forms from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. If everything checks out, the buyer can take possession of the firearm. And at that time is when you will pay the $50 charge for the transfer fee. This fee covers any and all firearms and accessories listed on the transfer.
